Thanks

God, where to start?

All right, first off I have to thank Lou, not only because he took about...90% of the photos you see on this site, but for just adding a whole new dimension to the entire hobby for me. Cosplay turned from something I did by myself about three days out of a year, into luxurious three day weekends spent in fancy hotels, glamorous photoshoots, and dinners with good friends. It's so funny that this is one of the first things we did together, well before we were dating, and has become one of the things that keeps us together, and keeps us sane when our "mundane lives" threaten to get us down. I'm so glad we're doing this together.

I'd like to thank my parents, who have been INCREDIBLY supportive of what is, admittedly, a very strange, time consuming, and expensive hobby. My mom and stepfather have chipped in for my costumes (and bought them outright) whenever they could, and my father shares my love of dressing up, and is always happy to take pictures (and yell at me for not holding my chin up and throwing my shoulders back.) I've read so many horror stories of parents who have forced their kids to give up cosplay, it just makes me that much more thankful.

I'd like to thank all of the wonderful, talented seamstresses who have made me costumes, especially Avian Firefly, Athena-chan, Beverly Faerie, Erin Garlowe, JenyBean, Melissa Quinn, Oshidori, Yaten and Seiya Kou, and especially Setsuna Kou. I know this is a business for all of you...but honestly, you've gone above and beyond for me, and your work looks wonderful, and I really appreciate it.

I'd like to thank all of my "real life" friends who I've dragged into this crazy hobby...off of the top of my head, Lou should get another mention (::grin:: Zell costume made in a week!), Skye, Anthony and Steph, Nikki (well, not yet, but soon!) and Usagi Seion, who got me into Sailor Moon.

Lastly, I'd really like to say THANK YOU to all of the WONDERFUL people I've met through cosplay, over a hundred of them that I talk to on an almost daily basis! (Especially my Usagi Kou, and all of the other Kou girls, past and present!) Cosplay is a hobby that gets a lot of bad press due to the "drama", and while I agree that it does have it's share (and sometimes more than it's share), on the whole, I have had a lot more good times than I've had any trouble. When I think that we would have never met if it hadn't been for finding a Sailor Mars costume for sale on eBay...well, the world sure does work funny sometimes, doesn't it? I'm so glad I met you all--my life is so much the better for it!
