Come with me, and see if you can figure out how Crissy's mind works--because Lord knows, I haven't yet. My brain decided that, since I had to buy a Snow White wig anyway, I should buy the licensed version of her dress so that the wig could do double duty. Never mind that the licensed costume isn't that great (and wasn't all *that* much cheaper than if I had commissioned a friend to do it); never mind that I don't know when I'll ever cosplay Snow White again. Somehow, I justified the purchase of the wig by making another purchase. I...I told you I can't explain it.

As I mentioned, the licensed costume isn't great--it had a cameo of Snow White herself at the center of the neckline (a throwback to the practice of putting the character you were supposed to be dressing up as on the front of the plastic smocks that passed for the costumes in the 1980s, perhaps?) that I had to cut off; luckily I was able to remove it without a trace. The sleeves are loose, and in order to keep them from just lying limply against my arms, I had the bright idea of stuffing multiple, crumpled-up plastic grocery bags in them. The glitter overskirt is not only completely unnecessary, but only covers the front half of the skirt; fortunately, you can't really see the edge in photographs. Nevertheless, this the closest-to-screen-accurate Snow White costume commercially avaiable, as all the rest either have blue stripes on red sleeves, or even more decoration added to the bodice, or some other silly variation.
