Since Alyce had worked so hard to make our incredibly ornate costumes for Otakon 2016, when it came time to pick our Sailor Moon costume for 2017 I threw my vote in behind hers for these adorable, quasi-Lolita designs from the merchandise and advertising for the second Sailor Moon and Q-pot CAFE collaboration. The rest of the girls have been in a very Loli mood lately, so pretty much everyone jumped on board.

Thank goodness Eri Kagami's friend had already made the chocolate bar fabric print on Spoonflower, or I don't know what we would have done. If I remember correctly I ordered 3 yards of the Organic Cotton Sateen Ultra, because it came in 56" width size, which means absolutely zilch to me but was recommended by some of the other seamstresses in our group. Reinii approached Patti and Steph about making our dresses, and thank God they said yes. They also made me Sailor Mars's praline ring, because it was *impossible* to find on eBay. (And they made the earrings and the choker, AND they found the perfect prop gift box.) We all bought wrist length Zaza bridal stretchy gloves off of Amazon, and I (and Lady Terentia, though I can't speak for everyone else) just ended up rewearing the kitten heels we had bought for our Fruit Maids costumes three years before.
