I literally suggested we do Fruit Maids for Otakon 2015 before the weekend of Otakon 2014 was over. It's tough to get a group together on Friday because so many people (including me!) are still arriving; I thought it would be best if we kept it to the core group of OPIB. This image in the artbooks is only the four inner senshi, without Usagi, and it's pretty unique, and therefore recognizable. I figured they'd be pretty simple dresses, too, nothing that would require Avi to figure out how to defy the laws of physics or add a couple of dimensions. The rest of the girls were agreeable, so Avi agreed to make the dresses, aprons, and headbands. Reinii found us matching "kitten heels" on eBay, and Lady Terentia found a website that sold fake fruit--faux watermelon is surprisingly difficult to find! We may have looked a little cheesy, but we had an awful lot of fun.
